Description (Service)
Provides support and social gatherings to veterans and their families and to the community. Celebrates Legion Week in September and Annual Poppy campaign the first two weeks in November. Activities include: tag days a parade to the cenotaph on Remembrance Day, November 11, followed by a service at the cenotaph and comradeship at the Legion proceeds from the Poppy campaign are used to assist ex-veterans and their families, bursaries for education, literacy and poster contest prizes Offers a limited loan cupboard with wheelchairs and walkers for public and members, call for details.
