Eligibility | Parents with children under 18 yrs of age may be eligible for the Ontario Child Benefit.
Eligibility is based on the number of children under age 18 in your family and your family net income as reported on your income tax return(s) for the previous year. Click here for an estimated guideline of eligible monthly payments |
Application | The Canada Revenue Agency will automatically review your eligibility once you and your spouse/common law partner's income tax returns from the previous year are assessed and you have registered for the Canada Child Benefit. The Ontario Child Benefit and the Child Disability Benefit will be added as supplements to the Canada Child Benefit for eligible families. |
